What: FC Harlem Fall Recreational League provides a NO PRESSURE environment for kids to learn and enjoy the game of soccer through small sided games. FC Harlem utilizes volunteers (parents, former soccer players, et al.) to coach, referee and create a fun, friendly environment for the kids. The emphasis is on sportsmanship and building community.
Parents, soccer is a TEAM sport. The success of the program is only fun when you bring your kids on time. If you think you will not be able to make the hour commitment each Saturday and be on time PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP. It is not fair to the other kids and parents who make commitment to be there on time.
Parent Participation: FC Harlem Rec League is 100% volunteer. We encourage you to get involved as a coach, assistant coach or team parent. You DO NOT need to be a soccer expert to help. We will provide all the training you need. Your kids would love to see you involved!
All volunteers must submit to a background check and attend pre-season trainings.
Parents if you are looking for a program that emphasizing competition and winning and losing this program is not for you.
Who: Boys and Girls from ages 5 to 12 from Harlem, Washington Heights and Bronx neighborhoods.
Proof of Residency Required.
Skill Level Required: None. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for play!
Where We Play: Jacob Schiff Soccer Field (138th Street and Amsterdam Avenue)
Cost: $70 per child / $35 for each additional child if in the same household
Uniforms: Each child will receive one jersey, one pair of shorts, one pair of socks and one pair of shinguards.
When: Saturday, September 15, 2012 through Monday, November 26, 2012 (Saturdays Only)
Time:
Ages 5 & 6: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Ages 7 & 8: 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Ages 9 & 10: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Ages 11& 12: 1:45 - 2:45 p.m.
Availability: (Limited Spots. See below. Don’t wait!!) ONLY 200 SPOTS AVAILABLE!!
Ages 5 and 6: 50
Ages 7 and 8: 50
Ages 9 and 10: 54
Ages 11 and 12: 44
Each Player will receive: Jersey, shorts, socks and shin guards and insurance coverage

Payments: Payment can be made by Check or Money Order payable to FC Harlem. Cash only accepted for registered participants on uniform pickup day.
All payments must be received by close of business Saturday, July 21, 2012.
If payment has not been received the deadline, the registration will be cancelled and offered to those on wait list.
